Getting ready to take baby home..

We were talking on the way to Cleveland today and think we have enjoyed this last couple of days more than a good vacation! It has been so great to come up (even in this crummy weather) to see the new baby and we have enjoyed playing with Bailey too. We have stayed to take her home at night to help with dinner and bedtime. It has been so much fun to see what personality she has. She has quite a sense of humor and says things that make you shake your head. She wears long, over the knee socks to bed so I was calling her "Pippy Longstockings"...she said "your the Pip, but my arm pits are covered with my PJ's!!"(makes me laugh) And Mike said she said "I was just kidding you"...from a 2 year old??? I'm not a great babysitter, as you can see, Emma cried (and cried!) every time I held her!

But she does have THE cutest cry!!!

Plans are to go home tomorrow....I think dad is ready for them to come home and all be a family again!
Emma was quiet the minute her mother held her again.
Umm-humm, Grandpa was pretty proud that she was good for him too!

Yep, we all think she is pretty special...

Going home will be good!! Toasting to it are father and daughter....

and back on the ranch....Baby Bryden and babysitting at our house....
is fun because I get to play with the camera!!! (just love those little piggies!!)

Congratulations and Happy Birthday!!

The new baby is here...meet Emma Riley!

February 25th at 12:33pm Miss Emma Riley was born...we are thanking God for a precious gift that was healthy and beautiful!!
We waited for the news in the waiting room until Mike came to get Bailey to meet her baby sister. She was a little timid at first...

but soon warmed up to the excitment. Lori's parents, Becky & Jim, here celebrating too! I was amazed by how remarkable Lori looked and felt.

Hugs all around...

First family photos...
So happy...

Daddy time...

I love this one of her little tongue...

They took her to the nursery...

where we admired her some more...

Bailey could hardly wait for Emma to come back to her mom's room!

Finally they called for Mike to come pick her up from her isolette.

On the way back to the room, Uncle Tim called to hear all the news...

Back in the room we all gathered to admire her some more!

Sweet baby Emma!!!

We left the hospital and went out to dinner, Bailey fell asleep on the way and we were all feeling a little tuckered out but enjoyed reflecting on the day.

Yep, it was a great day!!!

We took her home to help put her to bed and she got a baby of her own from Paw-Paw that she took to bed with her. What a day!!!!

Baby is coming...

We are all anxiously awaiting the arrival of Mike, Lori & Bailey's new baby. Little Bryden, here is looking forward to meeting his new cousin. He may not look too happy, but he is the best baby! He smiles as soon as he wakes up and catches your attention. We enjoy playing with him.
We put him down on his play mat but I am too slow with the camera...he saw Scoobie and got the biggest grin! It was too funny! But as fast as it came, -it went too.

We'll just have to play more till we get to meet Miss Emma!!!

One more video of Bailey from Sunday...so funny! She has learned to say "for Pete's sake..." and she had just pulled up her shirt and said "my tummy is so full!"
I remember my mother saying that when we went home, she and Grandma would talk and talk about all the things the kids had said and then they were so happy to have pictures to remember the visits by. I now know just what she means...I love to look at the pictures and videos because that's what I have when they go home. Grandchildren do make you smile!!!

The nursery is ready!!!

Today we went for a last visit to see Mike, Lori and Bailey before their new baby is born. I made some bows for Bailey's hair and she is unwrapping them... The nursery is complete (except for the bedskirt) and adorable!! You may probably guess if Bailey is getting a sister or brother from the color of the room. I loved it!!! Larry said "it's a lot of pink!!"
Places for new pictures on the wall...

Curtains made by "Gee-ma" Becky,...really cute Becky!!!

Bailey trying out the new crib...

THE cutest diaper bag I have ever seen...

Cradle set up in the bedroom...

Bailey getting ready to read to her sister...

anticipation...

This was my attempt at the hair bow...not a good picture but proud of it anyway. Baby sister gets a mini version.

The family ...waiting.........................stay tuned!
