Neighbors Baby Shower...

This afternoon our wonderful neighbors gave Chelsea a baby shower! She was thrilled and it was a nice gathering. Juanita (on Chelsea's right) threw the party. She had a game that included each person writing a former childhood memory of Chelsea after which she read it aloud and guessed who wrote it...that brought about lots of old memories and laughter.
She got needed baby things...

and the most cleverly wrapped gift I have ever seen....this is two baby blankets sewn together with ribbon...too cute (it's a baby gate)!!

Brant's mother and me with Chelsea...

Most of the group.... Thankyou, ladies!!

The party's over.....Chelsea came home and immediately changed heels for uggs. Then she and Holly (her pregnant friend) looked over the gifts and the crib that we put up for babysitting.
Too bad, Heff, (Chelsea's dog bottom)...you think you're the baby but wait till you see what's coming.....

Two year old pictures...

These are pictures Mike & Lori had made of Bailey for her second birthday.....You can see from the expressions on her face what a sweet child she is!
Oh, there is just a tiny bit of pixie dust mixed in there,.....
-any child of Mike's would have to have that too!!

Chelsea's BD and the Fair...

Today was Chelsea's 26th birthday....HAPPY BIRTHDAY, babe! The kids all came and celebrated with her...Cooper and Bailey got out the toys and feted her with clanking trucks.

It was a beautiful day and the proud fathers enjoyed watching the cousins play.

Aunt Chelsea did too.

It was one of those days we just enjoyed sitting around, catching up.

Cooper kept us all entertained as usual...I think he is going to be an something dynamic when he grows up! (-that child goes and goes and goes!)

Then we celebrated the BD with cake and baby things...

and her fav...new UGGS!!!
There were after dinner games...Tim was lying in the driveway and the little kids were jumping on him...-after which we went to the fair...
and had lemonade and all the yearly fair good stuff!

Cooper kissing Bailey "good-bye"...

and daddy kissing Bailey through her balloon...a fun day was had by all!

She can count to ten now!!!!

Two Already...Miss B's Party

Today was Bailey's second birthday...how fast time flies!!! Her favorite thing, besides dogs, is Mickey Mouse, so....her mother decorated the party just for her. The food was cute as well as delicious! Lori cut peanut butter and jelly sandwiches out with a Mickey Mouse cookie cutter for the younger set. Lori's mom, Becky (in pic below looking over table...) is extremely creative and I'm sure that is where Lori gets it!!
The cake and favors...

My Favorite Team!!!

I'm not a sports nut...

don't like to watch games on TV, nor will you ever find me reading the sports page...but............today.......our son Tim was in town with his team. He is a Cross Country coach for Pickerington North High School and THAT is my favorite team! It's major mother pride that puts my heart there, but it was so much fun to watch him coach and his team ...win!!!

He got to see hometown friends like his buddy Pete...soon to be a first time Dad like Tim.

I was supposed to bring Tim's favorite iced cookies from Hawkins for the team and had to hunt all over the field to find them...and...then I dropped one box...hopefully they tasted just as good,..hmmmm

Talking to a mother and conferring with his friend and assistant coach (L)...

On the field...with 18 teams...

Get ready...

Get set...

Go!....

First runner in and winner (above)! Second...

Third...see all the heart they run with?? It gave me such goosebumps and brought me right back to watching my own boys run...a few years ago. -sigh-

Talk about running with heart this young man (below) is deaf and he ran so hard that he had to take time to recover for a moment afterward...he has a proud mom too!!!

Cool down afterward....

Giving well deserved pats on the back...

We'll be following this team all season, guys, (& Tim) and know that you will all go to state!!!!
Congrats on your win!!

Proud mom...
