the Cabin

the Cabin
This past weekend we were invited to the Tennessee cabin of Chelsea's new in-laws, Ben & Brenda.  It was a loooong trip there but more than worth every mile!
Bryden on the dock outside the cabin with Paw-Paw,
caught his first fish.   They were in seventh heaven!

If I lived here, I would have breakfast in this spot every morning.  It was the most
peaceful place on earth.

Their speed boat could not dock in their cove so has to dock here.
Bryden and Whitney bringing it in.

We did it all...every water thing you can do, swam, boated, jet skid.
Whitney here skiing....

looks just mah-velous!

almost ALL the time...lol

A restaurant on the lake where you can dock and eat....Amazing!

Brenda & Chelsea

Eating lunch

Water fun!

On the jet skis....I was a big woose and scared to death.  That's me
screaming you hear....pretending to be brave.

And at the end of the day, Larry trying...or not...to
stay awake during dinner.

and the little one dreaming about it all!!!

What a great place! I used to have an American book with pictures when I was a kid, and it was set around a two-week holiday in a place like that, featuring a young boy and his elderly grandfather (I think), fishing on a boat. I still remember it now.

So pretty and so much fun! I'm glad you were able to go and enjoy the weekend. Don't you wish you could have stayed longer? I think Bryden looks like Chelsea in the last pic.

What a fun getaway! My friend in college her parents lived on portage lakes and she taught me to water ski....I loved it! I remember one time we took their boat to a restaurant on the water...and I was thinking this IS the LIFE! :)

I would like to trade place with you even for a day. It's been so long since I've been on the water. That lake looks so heavenly.

What fun this must have been having your family there.
Did Bryden shared the fish?

Being on the water get me sleepy too. lol...
Have a nice rest of the week.
Hugs,
JB

What a glorious vacation spot! I am jealous... just kidding. Glad you had a chance to get away and relax, as you certainly deserve it.

So happy you guys got to enjoy such a lovely place. It looks like a little bit of heaven to me.
I laughed at hubby trying to stay awake. Sometimes all the fun wears you out.
Great pics and glad Bryden enjoyed his first catch.
Glad I was able to come by for a visit I sure have missed you.
Love
Maggie

That is a beautiful place. One of my unfulfilled life goals is to own a place by the water :(

Donna- what a wonderful and peaceful place to spend the day. Wouldn't we all love to have a little cabin in the woods. The photos of your family are priceless- love seeing all the good times. Your grandbabies are growing way too fast!

I think of you often-- wishing you wellness. Lots of pink coming your way in a few months--
