There are many thing to delight in in the past 6 weeks or so since I've posted last. One is that I am more than half away done with chemo, the first of four legs of this cancer journey. (~still have radiation, more surgery then a long term medication schedule to follow.) My motto is "just get through it"...so a few days in bed, then up and about as much as possible. I've learned what 14 hours of sleep is though and while I don't look like a teen, I feel I should be one after that much sleep!
I'm so grateful that I am going through this in the summer! There are so many fun things happening and instead of feeling like I am missing them, am just glad to participate and smile once in a while. Above is Bryden relishing in the sprinkler fun in our yard. |

So glad that you are feeling well enough for all of the fun that has surrounded you lately. That throne looked like a lot of fun. I'll have to remember that one for my own birthday next year. :)
Such a beautiful family!
I'm so happy to see you posting! It sounds like you're doing well, and I'm in awe of your determination to keep life simple and normal. We get reports every now and then from Kathy so we've been able to keep up on how you're doing. Big hugs from me - I'm so glad that you're doing well and are half way through! I think about you often.
I'm so glad you are getting to squeal in delight. You are such a positive role model. Keep fightin' the good fight.
So glad that you are feeling up to a little summer fun. The photos are delightful. I love the water in summer too! And extended family even more. Hope you continue to improve. Hugs and prayers from Australia.

I do hope you are getting stronger and stronger. Good to see you.
It's great to see a family that knows how to celebrate and have fun, despite challenges. I could almost hear the squeals of delight from the kiddies.
Donna- my squeals of delight are from knowing that you are able to enjoy some special times with your family--- and share with us all here. You are amazing-- your motivation and determination are going to see you though these difficult times. I'm so happy that your life is filled with family and blessings. I'm thrilled to see these photos and read about your special times--

Donna, looks like it was a fun party! I'm also happy to hear you are 1/2 way through your cancer treatments. My brother-in-law went through what you're going through (surgery, chemo, radiation & recovery) and he's 19+ years strong! Keeping you in my "prayer pot."
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the soup!
Have a wonderful 4th of July!
Mary
Glad you are surrounded by fun and family at such a difficult time.
I will continue to pray that all is well, Donna. You are doing an amazing job of getting through this, and I am glad the chemo is half way done.
Hopefully, the radiation will be easier. It was for my friends...
=)
Hi Donna, my squeal of delight is reading your blog. I read it earlier but didn't had the time to comment as I got visitors. I appreciate your visit so much.
Some of my photos somehow vanished from my blog and the caption didn't make sense. oh well....
Wow, Cooper is 5 all ready. How time flies. He looks positively good looking and delighted in being King for the day.
Bryden has a best friend to share the pool. How just too cute he is .... he'll remember that for sure.
Emma is just as cute as mom and dad thinks she is. How love that age. They sure grow so fast. I'm not kidding you. My oldest granddaughter, ( not shown on today's blog) is already 18. It seems like only yesterday that I used to sit with her on the swing.
I'm so glad that you are over the half way mark. That is a lot behind you. Take it one at a time and it will all be behind you soon. I know ... easier said than done....
You are always in my prayers. And that Yaya is a sweetheart of a friend. Bigs hugs. JB
Big hugs
Happy 4th of July Donna. Hugs again... JB
Welcome back. I hope this means you're feeling a little better. Best wishes. Cro.
Donna you've been in my thoughts and prayers such a lot. Brilliant to have you back blogging again and all those lovely photos of your family.
The squeals of our children and grandchildren is music to mother and grandmother/father's ears.

Family fun is the best kind of all and it sounds like you had a great time! I loved looking at all the neat pictures of the kids. That darling little Cooper is just the cutest thing ever. It's neat that he could be there for his special day.
I was so thrilled when I stopped by today to have a look see and I was so happily surprised when I saw your post. You are some great gal, I have to tell you. I think it is amazing that you pick yourself up after each chemo treatment and then go to work until the next one comes along. I don't blame you though, you just have the neatest crew to work with. They just know how to have a good time while working, don't they? I love hearing about some of the crazy and fun times there......Kathy is good about letting us know about work and especially do we appreciate when she lets us know about you when you might not be feeling up to posting.
Take care, hang in there and know that you are in our prayers each evening.
Celebrating with you the progress you've already made and wishing that the weeks ahead will pass quickly and with as little discomfort as possible.
Donna,
So glad you are "halfway" through the program. Your family pictures look like you are all hanging together and what a blessing that is for you.
God bless you as you continue on, and know that your friends are praying for you. Blessings to you.

Love all the photos, esp' the one with Larry in sunglasses with Mike and daughter behind him.
You sure have an eye behind the camera, dear friend!!
Having been lucky enough to have been a passenger on your pontoon many times, it was a pleasant look back. Felt like I was there. What a little bit of paradise you have there...
