Happy 4th!!!!

It was great to have a mid-week lift...day off ,celebration of our country.....and also that of my son's birth!  Their real birthday is the 7th and it's hard to get them together since they are 3 hours travel apart.  I remember being pregnant on the fourth of July in 1976, the USA bi-centennial celebration and thinking I was going to burst so the 4th always seems like their birthday...7/7/76.  Happy birthday guys!! (Sorry, we missed you Mike!)

Cooper and Bryden cooled off in the pool while we lounged and watched...fun for us all!

Cooper with a drink of water while his cousin shoots him in the back!

I love this sweet pic of Uncle Tim helping Bryden with his boots when the kids decided they wanted to "creek  walk". When I was a kid we had a creek in our back yard too, so have always enjoyed that too.

Taking pics along the way....it was cool in the creek and we all enjoyed the walk.

Later we had a visit from friends...here is Emily with Cooper in the play house.

Luke with mama Megan...what a cutie!!

and sister Jen with also cute baby Owen.  These cousins will have so much growing up together. Thanks for your visit!

And last pic....Cooper is very artistic here making collages out of stone and sticks (and many other  things at home, his mother says) .  He said this sculpture was for God.  It was just remarkable...sorry I didn't take a picture of it but was impressed with his spirituality.  It's so good to just have a normal day and enjoy the fam.  Happy (day after the) 4th!!

I'm so glad that you posted those great pictures of your grandkids and family. Happy Belated 4th of July.

It looks like you had a great day of fun and celebrations. That creek looks positively inviting. The kids are so cute sitting on the steps playing with the moving water. It's nice celebrating birthday too. Happy Birthday to your son.

Reading your post always makes me smile because I know that you are doing fine under the circumstances.

Hugs, JB

Looks like you had a fun day and Happy Birthday to the twinners! Hard to believe that much time has passed. I was suppose to have Jackie in 1976 but he decided 1975 was a better year I guess! Fun pics of the kiddos. I love your creek! Did you flood out last night or this morning?

Hi Donna,
I've been off for a bit, visiting out of town kidlets, taking care of new ones so it was a great surprise to click in and find you back blogging. I hope you continue to feel strong, but I know when physically you are feeling puny you have the heart of a warrior!
Please take good care of yourself...what a lovely family you have.
PS I love your sister surprised you, aren't they the best!
Hugs~

Your son Tim is so handsome!! How great that he could be there for an almost birthday party. I hope he got to stay over for the 7th. Too bad that Mike couldn't have been there too.

I always enjoy seeing pictues of your family. That Cooper is such an interesting little guy. He must be pretty artistic to be making colages out of sticks and stones. I wish you could have gotten a picture of it. I am interested in that kind of art.

The walk through the creek sounded like fun. Since I have never done anything like that, I will have to take your word for it, that it was great fun, indeed.

It is so great to see you blogging again, Donna. Keep feeling well......it will all be over soon and then it will all be just a memory. I'll be glad when that day comes and it really won't be too much longer. I'm sure the radiation won't be half as bad (even less than that, I hope)

Love you,
