On the last post, I mentioned how fast the rain had come and how our little foot bridge was damaged.
Last night's rain took our little bridge completely and left this trail of how high the water level came. Our neighbor's bridges are gone too! One neighbor was out early and said that he watched the water level all night in our creek and driving around town at the wee hours to find main 4 lane roads in town down to one passable. In the 22 years we have lived here, it's never been like this. My husband's business was flooded out too and he's up early with his employees to clean carpet. I'll head out to help in a bit.

Oh, my! It must be difficult to watch and wonder -- and to be basically helpless to do anything about it!
I'm sorry to hear about your husband's business, too.
So far, we've had a lot of rain, but it's been spread out so that I don't know of any damage. Planting of crops has been delayed though...
I'm sorry you lost your bridge and you are cleaning carpet. Hope things dry up soon.
Thanks for up-dating your news on my blog comment. I headed over to yours and see that things are really difficult with the weather creating such trials. I'm so sorry - and in your case, especially for your husband's business and for the area where you live. I hope things impove soon for you and everyone over there.
Donna, Praying for you and all those who have been flooded out and wrecked with all the tornadoes, etc.
Glad your house is ok. blessing to you - Marsha
There has been so much damage from rain and storms! Sorry about the flooding at your husband's business, but glad your house is all right.
Oh, dear. I didn't know you were affected by all of this flooding.
Sorry to hear about the bridge and your husband's work. Hope everything else remains intact with rain coming again.
This crazy weather is such a worry.

Wow. We're getting massive amounts of rain here, too, but fortunately we're high enough that flooding won't be a problem. My heart goes out to everyone who has lost (or will lose) so much to the astonishing power of Mother Nature this spring.
Thanks Donna for the comment onmy post. You can find the nurse toppers here http://www.etsy.com/people/KidsCakes
Oh I am so sorry to hear about your cute bridge. Will pray the rains arent bad this week.
well i have heard my daughter's baby may be called Emma...End of june so that may change...but I love the name:)
Tea is so fun Donna...the Ritz sounds lovely...i must tell my niece who lives in Chicago! Wish I could travel more but duty calls too...Jen
I hope everything got rebuilt and cleaned up - and I'm very glad it didn't get to your house! I had to laugh after your comment on my Mother's Day. It's WONDERFUL to know that I'm not the only irrational mother out there. Maybe we should learn to say what we mean instead of what sounds nicest! I think you can honor the wife and STILL honor the mother - yes, I'm sure you can! Next year, my friend - we'll just take charge.
Sorry about all the damage...we are so water logged and our road is closed again..hope I can find a way to work! (or maybe not!) I'm really hating all this water and I think Spring is a washout..sorry, couldn't resist that.
Oh dear, I'm so sorry to hear that. Hope everything will be back on track ASAP.
So sorry to hear you lost your little bridge. Your property is truly gorgeous! Thankful there was no further damage. Your grass is really green too!
Oh no! I am glad that you are ok, sure hope that it stops raining there soon! Guess I shouldn't complain about the rain here!!!
so happy you weren't flooded and I love your bridge!

Ah Donna I am so thankful too that your home was not damaged. I prayed the other day that you guys would get some relief and soon.
Strange how we need the rain here but mother nature has a mind of her own.
Will of course continue my prayers for you. I was sorry to hear about your husbands place of business being flooded too.
Thanks for the Birthday wishes I so appreciate you honey
Love
Maggie
