Labor Day Weekend...Part 2 of 2

The weekend started with Tim, who is Cross Country coach for Pickerington HS south of Columbus, coming to Ashland for a meet. He has 75 guys on his team and it is fun to watch them race. When the buses arrived and the door opened, Tim got off the bus, gave me a hug and no mom could have been prouder than if her son was Lebron James. It took me right back to when he and his brother were on the CC team in high school themselves and we loved to go to their races. I brought Tim's favorite cut-out cookies for the team with their logo on them. Tim announces this treat for after the race. "My mom brought cookies"...this time it took me back to being a room mother in grade school...ha! All the boxes of cookies....

And they are interested in them....cute!

Tim gives his pep talk and hands out numbers and off they go to warm up...

The Ashland HS horitculture dept has a wonderful garden that they have built. The team races around this area...I think it is exceptionally beautiful.

The sky was dark but all ended well....

They won the meet....congrats Pickerington North!!! (and coach Tim!!)

I'm guessing that's your son with the head of dark hair and killer smile? Hubba hubba, he must have had girls falling all over him in high school! And how nice for you to have him in town and to be able to provide all those cookies!
