S'More Fall, Apples & Pumpkins

This time of year seems so pretty with all the changing colors.  Our trees seem more like mid October than the end of September.
Bryden was coming over so Paw-Paw started a fire in the fire pit.  There is nothing that I think smells so good as a fire!
He was excited to see it but immediately removed his sweater because he thought it was hot.
I
We showed him how to turn the marshmallows slowly but he had his own technique.
We balanced the "bad" food with something good...apples!  Apples are so delicious this time of the year, really juicy and crisp!

Bryden soon learned that cooking marshmallows has it's pitfalls...heh...just lick it off!
Then we took a little walk...me lagging behind, -trying to keep up with a 2 1/2 year old...breathing hard!
Thanks for a fun afternoon, little guy!

He's adorable. Nothing like a sweet child to lift your spirits. I hope you are doing okay.

Sadly, no changing leaves here in Texas, but I'm headed to NJ at the end of the week. Maybe I'll see some color there. Hope you enjoy a bountiful fall season.

I agree about the smell of a fire - and can see you fully enjoyed your time with this precious child!

Oh! And apples...I love a crisp & fairly tart apple. Breaeburn are my favorites but so far haven't seen them on the market yet. Wonder what's going on???

A walk in the red fallen leaves is a bit magical I think. What a lovely scenery.

I love roasting marshmallows and roasted some this summer over the Bar B Q. When the kids were younger we had a a fire pit with a grill on top and cooked huge pots of corns and invited friends and neighbours to the corn boil and roasted marshmallows over the fire. What fun it was....

The leaves are quickly changing colors here too. It's so colorful this time of year.

Bryden will soon get the hang of it and be able to roast his marshmallows with the best of them.

Have a great month of October Donna.

Hugs,

JB

It looks so pretty back there. But Bryden looks a little wary of the fire in the first pic.

I hope you're not suggesting that chocolate is 'bad food'; you'll have half the world's population trying to convince you otherwise!

What a fun day with Bryden! I can't get over how beautiful it is where you live. One of our sons lived for awhile in Ohio and it was gorgeous! Lucky you... Enjoyed the pictures - all of them are so pretty.

Hi Donna, thanks for visiting. I never intended to become a farmer, hahaha. It all happened quite by accident. Maybe I should blog about it sometimes.
Take care. JB
