Mother's Day weekend 2011

Emma now walking....here crawling up the patio steps.

I thought of my mother all weekend.  I thought of how much has changed since she went to heaven 6 years ago.  It seems so short and yet so very long.  We've had four grandchildren that she would have adored almost as much as me.  She would be pleased to see what great parents my children have turned out to be.  She would be pleased to know that many things I do are patterned after things she did and I now see those things being repeated in the way my children parent. She would be most glad to know that all the great grandchildren say good night prayers and are on their way to a strong religious faith.
Happy Mother's day in Heaven, Mom...and to everyone else who is a mother!

Bailey, so compassionate with Scoobie!

Happy Mother's Day Donna...looks like you had a nice visit with the kids and they sure look cute with little Scoobie. I'm so sad that your Mom isn't here and I know she would have loved those sweet kiddos. She's up there smiling and watching, I'm sure of it. Glad you had a nice weekend!

Happy Mother's Day Donna. My Mom passed away 10 years ago and I often think of how much I wish she were here to see my granddaughter, Sophie. I miss my Mom everyday.

I'm glad that you get to spend so much time with your family. You seem very happy!

Good luck on all the work :)

Glad you had a lovely Mother's Day - it's a poignant time, but sure that the next generation are built on a sure foundation of good values handed down.

Happy Belated Mother's Day Donna. What a lovely bunch of grand Kids. You have every rights to be proud of how your children have turned out as parents and in turn your grandkids are following in your footsteps. Congratulations on doing such a great job as a mom and I love your tribute to your own mom.

Thanks for your offer of mopping up. We are doing OK so far. I haven't started to mop up yet. There was still water coming in this morning. Just inconvenienced unlike the poor people of Manitoba. They have declared a provincial state of emergency because of flooding. We are still getting rain this afternoon. I've been spring cleaning at the farm and been too busy to listen to the weather forecast.

Awww! Your grandkids are so cute, and so is Scoobie! I hope you had a great Mother's Day. I'm sorry that your Mom isn't there for you any more. I know you must miss her terribly. I think we never outgrow the need for our Mothers! And that is so funny about what you wrote to me about the glitter on your face! I often see little sparkles of glitter on our dog and my hubby!!:)

Oh, it is sad when our mothers disappear over the mountain...my own mom is fading, fading...

First, are you SURE that it is allowed to have four grandchildren THAT cute?

I understand about missing your mom. My own mother passed away just before Mother's Day last year, so I thought of her in heaven this year and was glad she could experience all that joy. But I miss her.
God bless you - Marsha

Donna, You can be assured your Mom is looking down from heaven and sees from the unseen world above. You will see her again as will all the little ones. Our blessed hope!
Warmly, Jennifer
