Chelsea asked me to cut Baby Bryden's hair while she was at work. (She was forgetting that I used to cut her brothers hair when they were young and if I cut a spot too close, used a magic marker to cover it over for a couple of days!!!) He is growing little side burns so she wanted him trimmed, and that was my aim....

It started out pretty well, I combed and wanted Larry to document it for Chels, handed him the camera and Bryden was pretty good...for a minute....

Then this 8 month old started to fidget....

and fidget....

and cringe....

and squirm....

and I'm thinkin' "Are we going to get the job done?"

The one that got away and the one that didn't...

The weather was just spectacular this weekend...one of those summer days that you wish was here everyday! Low humidity, warm but not overly so with a gentle breeze. Ummm! So Larry really wanted to go fishing...

We headed out....

And he cast out.....

and caught one....but alas, it got away. (Don't feel too badly for him though, he went with a neighbor today and they caught 4!)

But the one that didn't?....was at the wedding we went to later in the day. My good friend Judi's sister Lois married long time love Chris. Judi is from a family of 10 siblings (both parents are in heaven) and in one way or other many were involved. The preacher here is Judi's brother too!

We later had the perfect ending at one of our favorite restaurants in a little outdoor patio....

in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. This falls is downtown and it is one charming area....a good ending to a pleasant summer day!

Things you forget between Kids and Grandkids

Crawling up and clinging to my leg most of the day....

Looking out the deck widow and being glad I just windexed it from the dog....

AFTER he knocked out the mullions....

Loving the vacuum cleaner....my boys loved it so much that I used to give them rides when they were little...

Probably not good for the vacuum cleaner...

but it was good for 5 minutes entertainment!

Crawling as fast as one can to get to the door when I let the dogs out...

high maintainance....YES!....but

he sure makes me smile!!!

Fun with Family...205

I missed my 200th post and had wanted to do a special one.... but this is 205 and it is special to me, so here it is, 205! This weekend our family met at Cedar Point...an amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio. It's so good to get all the kids together in one spot, which is hard to do except for a few times a year and this was an especially fun place to do it. Cooper and Bailey...I'm never with the grandchildren that I don't think of my mother and how she would have loved to watch them. Here they are, the oldest already 3! Time does fly. I realize I have to enjoy them each time they are here. Family, -just watching them do the simplest things, makes you smile.
