Fall Apple picking...

Got these pictures from Mike & Lori...they spent an afternoon apple picking with the Cleveland grandparents and an out of town aunt. Miss Bailey looks like a little pumpkin herself, doesn't she?? (Scrumptious hat, little girl...Mommy has fun taste!!) mmmm...the apples are sooo good!

Mother Earth Makes Dinner

Last night Chelsea came over and made dinner for her tired, grateful parents. She made what we fondly refer to as "tuna surprise". It is an inspired recipe from my mother that we all like.Chelsea knew we needed a break and provided it...with a few giggles. When she has her hair up like this, she makes me laugh and I think she looks like "Mother Earth". She is a great, if somewhat tactile (check out the hands...) cook.The recipe is simple...tuna, mixed with Miracle Whip and chopped green olives, cheddar cheese, chopped hard boiled eggs and minced onion (optional). You put them all on sliced bread wrapped in foil and into the oven till warmed. The melted cheese makes it delicious and the olive gives it a little zing. I'm thinking here she is getting into the picture taking and looking a little like Nigella or Giada...huh? Like I said , -a few giggles... Anyway, it was a welcomed treat...thanks Chelsea!!! mmmmmm.......

3-D ultrasound

Today was Chelsea's scheduled 3-D ultrasound. Coincidentally her friend Kristen was there for a pre-natal check-up too. It's always fun to do things with a friend!

Unfortunately the baby didn't want to cooperate and was very snuggled deep into her womb, so they have rescheduled it for Friday to get better pictures. We did get some shots though and a little film clip on my trusty little camera that shows him opening his eyes and moving about. It's pretty awesome to watch...sometimes a little scary...you think you see an eye opening (true) and ...popping out?? (not true) Good for a few nervous giggles,.... and sighs.....

Octoberfest

Today we went to Cleveland to get our Bailey fix for a while. They have plans for the next couple of weekends so we needed to get in a visit while we can. She had just gotten up from her nap and was fresh as a daisy! We listened to fun new words in her ever expanding vocabulary....

and played for a while....

before heading out.

We went to lunch where she is soooo good! (but maybe a little bored??)

She ate and had it slightly over her face....

before being occupied with the crayons provided by the restaurant...

and Grandpa drew her hand.

Then she stacked her little foam pieces...

before letting us know that she was ready to go!!! This child cracks me up!! Thanks for a great day, Miss B!!!

30 weeks and counting....

Last night Chelsea was here and we decided it was time to start documenting her expanding belly. There's something very sweet about watching your children have children. This is thirty weeks with 10 more to go...keep growing in there little one!

Neighbors Baby Shower...

This afternoon our wonderful neighbors gave Chelsea a baby shower! She was thrilled and it was a nice gathering. Juanita (on Chelsea's right) threw the party. She had a game that included each person writing a former childhood memory of Chelsea after which she read it aloud and guessed who wrote it...that brought about lots of old memories and laughter.

She got needed baby things...

and the most cleverly wrapped gift I have ever seen....this is two baby blankets sewn together with ribbon...too cute (it's a baby gate)!!

The party's over.....Chelsea came home and immediately changed heels for uggs. Then she and Holly (her pregnant friend) looked over the gifts and the crib that we put up for babysitting.

Too bad, Heff, (Chelsea's dog bottom)...you think you're the baby but wait till you see what's coming.....
