No Tricks, just Treats!!

Our annual "Treat Night" with the girls was tonight and it's a treat for us for sure!!  It begins with pizza unlike any we have in our small town!  A great place just down the street from Mike & Lori has deep dish pizza only to be rivaled by that we used to eat in Chicago...yum!  Then the girls get dressed and off we go!
This year Emma was a fish and Bailey was the Queen of the Sea!
An excited one at that...ready to go see her kingdom!
The next few pics were taken by Bailey, our new budding photographer.  We have to giggle a bit at recent pics of Emma...she is so fair that she "glows" in many pictures.
Bailey's pic of her Aunt Jamie and Uncle John....
and one of her grandparents...Lori's parents.  Good job Bailey!!!
One of us with the photographer...
and bidding goodbye to the men in the family as is our tradition.  The guys stay home to hand out candy while the ladies forage out.
The girls with next door neighbor "Strawberry Shortcake"!
Collecting candy and being polite.  I was surprised at the great idea many had of putting an outdoor firepit  next to their chairs as they handed out candy.  It felt good and smelled so good as we walked down the street.
Bailey ready to "treat" all night....
while Emma was ready to head home to bed to dream of all her candy!

I only had one lot arrive chez nous yesterday. It was still light, they had no costumes, and they took ALL my favourite licorice wheels. Still, this is France, and Halloween is very new for them.

What cute ideas for costumes! It's always so fun to see the little ones, and I think girls usually have the cutest ones. As for the grandkids taking the photos, I always either sit down or make them stand on something so the camera doesn't shoot right up my nose!

Hi Donna, I' BACk as you can see and I even have my identity back..I could read your blog but I couldn't leave comments. I'm so sorry about Irene 's passing. She reminded me of my mother, always cheerful with a big smile right to the bitter end. Hugs.

Your Halloween pictures are so cute and the little puppy is just so adorable , the fish and the sea world princess as well. It's so much fun seeing them all dressed up in their costumes and they grow up so fast.

Thanks for your sweet comment , " Not my Julia", I had to laugh out loud. Take care, stay safe. Hugs, JB

What a wonderful way to spend Halloween. I knew that you would have some great pics to share and I loved everyone of them.
Bailey is quite the little photographer already. lol
Strange you mentioned like the Pizza we had in Chicago because my cousin and I were talking about the very same thing at dinner tonight. How weird is that.
Loved my visit and you

So fun to see all of the Halloween costumes. What a great holiday Halloween is for kids (even for many of their parents, to say nothing of grandparents.) I love to see the little ones in their costumes and they get so excited! Your pictures were great! I'm sure you all had a fun time!

What beautiful costumes everyone had! We were so looking forward to spending Halloween with our granddaughters in Massachusetts, but that wretched storm forced their community to cancel Halloween! So sad... but maybe just as well as it was SO COLD out! Maybe next year we'll have a Halloween with them like the one you enjoyed. Darling pictures.

It sounds like the whole family had a great time for Halloween. I loved the girls costumes and hey! you are right, that Bailey is getting to be a darned good photographer. I think that's neat that she is taking such and interest in Photography at her age. Her pics are surprisingly good too.

For several days around Halloween, all our Facebook friends posted pictures of their kids and grandkids.
They were delightful. I love seeing kids all dressed up.
Some of them get into it and others can't wait to get home and get out of the costumes.
What fun.
