Remi goes home!

This last week we kept Remington, Tim's dog, while he went on a family vacation to Myrtle Beach. "Remi" really loves his family but enjoyed a dogs life hanging out with our hounds this week. Sunday they came to take him home. Cooper was thrilled to see him...
but Remi was twice as glad to see him!! Nothing quite as sweet as a boy and his dog.

Once the newness of that wore off, he was on a path to find FUN!! See the tablecloth weights hanging from his shirt and pants...
Then he discovered the phone which he carried around for a while...
but got quickly bored with that.
He wanted to run in the yard...
He is one....
going...
going....

Water Fairy tales...

Lori sent these newest pics of Bailey getting used to the hot weather...and fun water toys!! A little water of the toes to get used to the whole thing....

Ummhumm...and touching it feels good....OK,...more toes in the water without having to hold hands....

Happy Father's Day, Happy Birthday Larry!!!

Every year Larry gets "robbed"! His birthday falls so close to Father's Day, JUNE 21ST that we celebrate them together and he's not happy about that. This year it IS on the same day...poor guy!! Larry is and was a wonderful father!! He is kind, generous and FUN! The picture above was taken at the Columbus zoo when the kids were little...The one below was taken when the boys suddenly grew taller than he is. Happy Father's Day, honey!!This picture was taken with friends Kip and Debby in Chicago during our 30's for a birthday celebration... And this one (below) was taken when he was 40 on a Lake Michigan family vacation with dear friend Denny Humrichouser... and this one was taken at age 50...how fast the years go!!!! HAPPY 60TH BIRTHDAY LARRY!!!

Cooper's second birthday!

Yesterday we were in Columbus for Cooper's birthday.We met Mike, Lori & Bailey and stayed for the weekend. We had a nice dinner Saturday to celebrate Larry's birthday next weekend too.

Outside in the center courtyard of the mall is a fountain that kids love to run through...

well, .....rough, tough little boys that is!!!

Little girls have to be talked into it!

And even then stay pretty dry.

Warm clothes afterward are a must!!

We went back to the hotel room and Cooper opened his gifts while Bailey patiently watched...

and got so tired.

But not guess who, Mr. Birthday Boy???

Sunday morning Larry opened his gifts.

The birthday party was held in a gym for kids where they all had a ball!

Lots of neat activities for all and a leader who had wonderful ideas for them to do.Bubbles everywhere!All the parents and kids under the tent...cute!

Babysitting Bailey...

Chelsea and I went to Cleveland yesterday to babysit for Bailey for a while. She was watching for the garbage truck when we arrived...it's pretty cute to see her wave at the collectors!

Then we ate lunch...here comes the good stuff....

After lunch, she played ball with Aunt Chelsea...

And got on the swing....

She and Auntie C told secrets...

and sat on the garden bench....

and played and played.

Then Bailey and I gave each other butterfly kisses...

so sweet...

Aunt Chelsea had her cell phone...

and gave it to Bailey to use for her dolly...

then we made a lot of chalk art pictures on the driveway...

then we went upstairs to read some favorite books...

Note as the afternoon is wearing on that she is getting more and more serious as she needs a nap!

the story telling isn't quite as entertaining....

the eyelids are getting heavier and heavier...

but she keeps on reading...

-but boy, when mama came home...was she glad and the old eyes perked up!!!!
